PETALS
Regular insights to the PETALS framework, created and hosted by Si Jobling

We need you! 🫵

We're back with the regular PETALS Snapshots content, putting the spotlight back on all things PETALS, how I'm feeling about the project - but all in short-form video rather than the previous 10-15 minutes efforts.

Welcome back to the Petals Snapshots with me Si jobling.

It is spring 2024 and I've taken the winter break to get my head straight.
I've started a brand new job in the last three to four months.
We've been working really hard on the app, but we're now ready to start onboarding the first round of users.
This is why we're getting back on the content bandwagon and hopefully getting value out of this content.

Petals snapshots will now be very short, about a minute long.
I'm gonna do it every weekday, Monday to Friday.
I'm recording first thing in the morning to make sure that I've got all the ideas in my head and we're getting the content out there for the day.
You can follow along on all the popular socials, video first, audio second.
Make sure you follow along Petals team snapshots and get in touch with what you think about the content as well.

So the big news for today is the fact that new app is ready to onboard the first round of users.
Me and Brian, we've been chopping away over the last six months on this new app that we wanted to make for people to use the petals framework to identify those improvement areas, but to also to facilitate the conversations with a more natural, organic user experience.
The focus has very much been on MVP minimum viable product, potentially MLP minimum lovable products.
But we're trying to find that right balance because we're really desperate to get this out to new users to see how you use it and how easy it can be to use.
I've been taking more of a product and design angle, whereas Brian's been working taking all the technical and development angle.
But every two weeks on a Friday afternoon, we will touch base for an hour, review what we've built, look at what's coming up next.
We'll get it organized in the backlog.
We've been using GitHub projects for this, just to make sure that we've got our heads together and a nice central place for everything.
Plus we get all that cool automation off the back of it.

But there we go.
The app is ready for the first round of users.
If you want to be on the top of the list, go along to Petals team app.
I will personally reach out to you straight away to arrange that onboarding session and then we'll walk through it with you.

But there we go. We are ready. Bring it on.
Let us know if you want to get using this petals app and if you are interested in this content, make sure you follow along.
I'll be back tomorrow. Same time, same place. More content. Like this. Nice and short. Getting it out there to.

We're back with the regular PETALS Snapshots content, putting the spotlight back on all things PETALS, how I'm feeling about the project - but all in short-form video rather than the previous 10-15 minutes efforts.

I'm going to try keeping it short (around 60-90 seconds) but with this being the first one, I spent nearly a minute explaining the situation. This should come down as content unfolds. Tell me if I ramble on too much.

If you want to get on the new app, head over to https://petals.team/app, register your details and I'll personally connect to arrange your onboarding.
