Today I talk about how I like to learn from podcasts when it's most convenient for me and I'm in the right mood.

This is the 21st edible snapshot of spring 2024, and today I want to talk about how I learn from podcasts. So as you can probably tell, I am a bit of a fan of a podcast. I've been making podcasts since 2005, constantly learning how to do stuff with them. Hence why pezzle. Snapshots is a thing, and one of the things I've noticed recently is how I like to learn from different podcasts. So the thing I like about podcasts is the fact that they're always readily available for me as a consumption point. They're on my phone, which I always have on me. Generally, I have my Airpods with me most of the time. So if I'm ever finding myself in a situation where I've got a bit of time where I can listen to something, could be whilst I'm out driving, could be whilst I'm commuting, walking, or even like just doing general housework, I could pop my Airpods in and have a listen to something. What I like to do is try and mix up the kind of content that I'm listening to to complement my mood. I might not be in the mood for learning, but generally I want to try to learn something. I follow a lot of tech podcasts. For example, there's podcasts like Daily Tech news show, Matt Geek, Gab, grumpy old geeks, tech conversations that I like to listen along to and try to learn a few things from. While I'm doing it, I'll follow some leadership podcasts as well that super managers from fellow out. And I also have other podcasts like about podcasting as well, the weekly pod news that comes from James Quidland. So what I try to do is find the moments where I'm ready to learn and just want to take on a little bit of content from their podcasts. But I also have my other fun podcasts. I like to listen to the comedy, the entertainment, the politics, the music, and I try to balance it out. Even this morning I was driving in, so I put on a tech podcast to catch up what's going on over the news. I listened to a new one about fathom, which I use for all my analytics, which was quite interesting to hear how they've built their product. I got to the gym, I put on another podcast about the tech news from the over the weekend, and then I put on the super managers podcast for a little bit as well, to hear some stories about other leaders. And then I put some music on just to finish it all off. So I found a nice balance between learning and entertainment just to get ready for the day. How do you use podcasts to learn? And what podcast do you listen to? If you do, share them in the comments and let me know what you think. I'll be back again tomorrow with another petal snapshot.
Today I talk about how I like to learn from podcasts, when it's most convenient for me and I'm in the right mood.
