This is the 18th petal snapshot of spring 2024, and today I want to talk a little bit more about serenity. So just as a reminder, serenity came about as the opposite to stress. To allow it to work in the petals framework. We flipped it from stress as a positive to serenity as a positive. Now, yesterday was a good example of how we tried to manage our serenity in the workplace. At lunchtime, I had quite a busy day in the office and so I made sure that I got to the gym. I was like, I need to get out of the office for at least half an hour just to kind of get my head back in the space, get away from the actual office environment. And thankfully, I wasn't alone. There was a few other teammates that did the same. They were making the most of the nearby gym and we got a bit of exercise, which is always good for us as well. And also when I had a one to one with one of the lads, it's like, where do you want to go? I was like, don't mind for a little walk around the lake then. And it just changes the mood of the conversation. You know, we've just been through a round of media reviews, so it's quite intense. A lot of people kind of get stressed out about that situation and I didn't want to do that again. I was like, look, we can reflect on objectives next time. Let's just go and have a chat, just catch up on a few things. There's a lot of stuff going on in his home life and his personal life. I thought, let's just kind of chat. But it allowed us to be more serene in our conversation again. When we had a retrospective in the afternoon, we started doing the health check, getting the scores coming through. Someone asked, remind me again what some minutes is for? I was like, it's the opposite to stress. And we've just come out of the back of quite a stressful project. But the whole team seems to be in a good place to feeling like we're over the hump now. We're in a better place, things are a little bit more serene, and we can see the metrics going up and the trends to see that there is definitely an improvement. Now, interestingly, when we did a very quick icebreaker at the start, the icebreaker question was, how do you recharge your battery? And the renowning response was fitness and getting outdoors. A lot of people talked about going to the gym, a lot talked about running, cycling, gym, fitness. So we talked about baking, I mentioned music. So again, it was just a nice way to think about how do we get ourselves back in a good space? There we go. That is today's snapshot, all about serenity. And tomorrow I'll be back again with some more petals, snapshots.
Today, we talk some more about serenity, some more examples of how to manage it and recharge your battery.
