What the merch? 👕

This is the 26th petal snapshot of spring 2024, and today I want to talk about merch. So yesterday I was on a conversation with some colleagues and one of them said, there he is, mister petals. I thought, oh, okay, I've got a name, a different name now and then. He also used the phrase flower power, which I was like, oh, this is good. It's good wordplay. I like where you're going with this. I was thinking, actually I could do with a bit more merch to kind of promote petals as an idea, as a framework, as a concept. There are more and more people that are taking it on now and I feel like, you know, it's a great way to kind of evangelize petals to your teammates and other people around you, your peers. So I went down a bit of a rabbit hole and looking at possible merge that would be suitable for petals, I created a flower powered t shirt and then I went down and looked at other products that you probably used, like mugs or even phone cases. Obviously, t shirts was the go to often stickers in the past that are holographic stickers. But as I say, it was a bit of a rabbit hole. I got carried away. I got some feedback from some people and they're like, it's just not quite looking right. What's the point? There's too much going on. So I put a pin in it. But I am curious about setting something up around the merch store. Let's say, looking at providers. I am very keen to keep this like print on demand. I don't want a load of waste and I definitely don't want to be, you know, looking after a lot of it and I don't really want to be distributing it. Personally, I don't mind grabbing a few things to take with me to events, but ideally I don't want a load of stock in a cupboard somewhere that's just sitting around gathering dust. So I will be using companies like t mill or printful or some one of those dropshipping providers. Anyway, I thought that would be the most suitable update for today, a bit of a distraction, not necessarily on my plan for this week, especially with so much going on, but it was something I thought worth sharing with the audience and hopefully someone out there will want to help me out, make it look really tight.
